At BIM Safety Group, safety is our priority

To ensure your electrical system is up to date and to the current regulations, we only employ qualified electricians who have passed the current 17th Edition BS7671 amendment 3 2015 IEE wiring regulations and Test and Inspection 2391. We are backed by a £5m Public Liability and have an up to date Health and Safety Policy (available on request). Our test equipment is calibrated and checked on a regular basis to ensure the correct readings are given and all relevant up to date documentation and publications are kept and regularly reviewed. When you call BIM Safety Group, a fully qualified 17th Edition Electrical Engineer is available to answer any technical queries and also will respond to any online requests.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT EICR’S

By taking the utmost care on each and every job we have built a reputation as one of the most reliable, respectable and affordable electrical companies in London.

An EICR is required by law for landlords of tenanted private rental homes. The same legal obligation does not apply to homeowners, but they are strongly advised to obtain one.

It takes between 30-90 minutes for a domestic property, an EICR on a 10-circuit installation might take between 4 and 5 hours.

Over time, all sorts of engineering installations face problems. Vermin, dampness, little repairs, and do-it-yourself are all causes of issues. Overtime, safety regulations change as well as the quality and fitness of electrical components.

We can’t update an EICR problem by a different contractor. Because we have a duty of care, we can’t assume the work of another company. We may do the repairs, but if you want a certificate with no fail codes, we’ll need to redo the EICR.
